Anwar Ibrahim is one of the most popular and celebrated Southeast Asian leaders in the world today. The seven-year veteran Finance Minister and former Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, has been long renowned worldwide for his political and economic leadership and insight.
As an experienced and visionary statesman, he speaks internationally on issues of accountability and governance, economic empowerment and inter-civilizational understanding. His many decades of demonstrated personal integrity and acumen have earned him the respect and ongoing friendship of some of the most impactful political and business leaders in the world today.
Anwar is currently a Distinguished Visiting Professor in the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. He is also a consultant to the World Bank in the areas of governance and accountability. Anwar has just been named Honorary President of AccountAbility. Since 2004 he also held lecturing positions at St. Anthony’s College at Oxford and the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University. |
